The project includes crackfilling various City of Kenosha roadways and any other incidental items necessary to complete said work. Pre-Qualification: Yes Site Address: 625 52nd Street, Room 305 Site Directions: Various locations Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check, in the sum of five per cent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Kenosha as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of contract. Should any bid be rejected, such check will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such check will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the contract and performance bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. SCOPE OF WORK Project #24-1019 - 2024 Joint or Crack Cleaning and Sealing shall consist of routing and/or cleaning cracks or joints in asphalt and concrete pavements, sealing prepared cracks or joints with an approved sealing material, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and specifications. The City reserves the right to remove areas as shown in the plan to fit the City's available budget. The City reserves the right to modify the order of streets to be completed or add and delete streets due to priority, emergency cases, or any other reason. All applicable bid items and associated bid unit prices will be paid for any revisions made. The City will mark out all cracks and joints to be routed and/or cleaned and sealed. Only those areas marked shall be considered pay items. In most cases, a City representative will be working with the contractor performing the work or working slightly ahead of work progress. Not all cracks or deteriorated pavement will be routed and/or cleaned and sealed such as significant alligator cracking, extra wide cracks, or other areas the City does not feel this process is advantageous.
