Renovation of a mixed-use development in Clifton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work at Central High School is for a single prime contract to include interior demolition, underground plumbing, electrical, and concrete. Work is to be completed summer 2024. Bids will be on a lump sum basis. This will be the only opportunity for access to the building prior to bid. Bidders shall examine the bid documents and also the locations in which said work is to be performed and judge for themselves all the circumstances and surrounding conditions affecting the cost and nature of the work, and all bids shall be presumed to be based on such examination, familiarity, and judgment. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or bank cashier's check on a solvent bank or trust company, or an acceptable Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10 Percent of the total bid. This sum is a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Each Bid must be accompanied by Certificate of Eligibility to Bid certifying that the Bidder is not barred from contracting with a unit of State or local government as a result of a violation of 720 ILCS 5/33-E-3 and 33E-4 as amended or a conviction for bribing or attempting to bribe an officer or employee of the State of Illinois. To the extent required by law, the Bidder shall comply with the provisions as indicated in the Instruction to Bidders. A 100-percent Performance Bond and Labor/Material Bond will be required of the successful bidder written by a surety in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Central CUSD 4 reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or to waive informalities and to accept the bid which it deems most favorable to its interests after all bids have been examined and thoroughly reviewed.
