As set forth in the plans and specifications, the project is designed to relocate existing water lines, sanitary sewer gravity lines, and sanitary sewer force main lines in conflict with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) F.M. 552 improvements. The project includes the following estimated quantities of work: 1,150 L.F. 16-inch DR-18 PVC Water line 940 L.F. 18-inch F679 (PS-115) PVC Sanitary Gravity Sewer 5,000 L.F. 15-inch SDR-26 PVC Sanitary Gravity Sewer 115 L.F. 10-inch SDR-26 PVC Sanitary Gravity Sewer 90 L.F. 8-inch SDR-26 PVC Sanitary Gravity Sewer 22 Five Foot Diameter Sanitary Sewer Manholes 5 Six Foot Diameter Sanitary Sewer Manholes 1,750 L.F. 12-inch DR-14 PVC Sanitary Sewer Force Main Bidder must submit, with their Bid, and a Bid Bond from an approved surety company, in the amount of five percent (5%) of their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and guarantee forms, if required, within 10 days after notice of award of contract. The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, from an approved Surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding Certificates of Authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, or another Surety acceptable to the City. A ten percent (10%) Maintenance Bond (2-year) is required for this project.
