The Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians are seeking bids from qualified agencies/individuals for architectural and engineering services to provide stamped construction documents including architectural information, structural engineering, civil engineering, mechanical, electrical engineering for the development and construction of a new 12 Unit Elderly Complex with garages at 36735 Aiken Rd, Gaa-Miskwaabikaang (Red Cliff) Reservation in Bayfield County, WI and for the reconstruction and pavement of approximately 1400 lineal feet of Aiken Road to provide access to the new facility. The project is a 12-unit Elderly Housing Project. Project will be one story with light commercial wood framed construction systems. Each unit will consist of one-bed room approximately 640 square feet apartment type units for independent living. The building will have a communal gathering room for 30 occupants, serving kitchen, and support space. A 12-stall garage will connect to the building for access. Site work will include developing 3 acres of site including clearing, grading, storm water, water and sanitary sewer utilities, 24 stall parking, drives, and walkways. As part of the project, improvements are needed to Aiken Road to accommodate increased traffic and provide four season access. An optional pre-proposal conference has been scheduled to allow interested firms the opportunity to learn more about the Red Cliff community and this planned development prior to submitting their proposal. The conference will be held at the Red Cliff Tribal Administration Office and may be attended in-person or remotely via Microsoft Teams. Question Deadline 05/14/2024. Written and verbal questions will be accepted during the conference and documented for the record. Time is of the essence, groundbreaking is desired by August 01, 2024. Award Notification: The successful proposer will be notified the week of June 4, 2024. Unselected proposers will be notified after the successful bidder has been selected. Contracting: Contract negotiations for A&E and project management services will commence after June 4, 2024.
