The project consists of one (1) contract; METRO - Bus Garages Fire Alarm Replacement. The project will be implemented under one (1) Notice to Proceed (NTP) as set forth in the Contract Documents. The Work of This Project Provides for Replacement of the Existing Fire Alarm Systems at Three Bus Maintenance and Storage Facilities, Including but Not Limited to, Installation of New Fire Alarm Control Panel and Head End Equipment; Installation of New Fire Alarm Initiation Devices and Monitor Existing Sprinkler System at Each Facility; Installation of New Fire Alarm Notification Appliance Devices and Provide Shutdown of Hvac Equipment. Refer to the Contract Drawings, Project Manual and Technical Specifications for Additional Information. The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids, and to extend the bidding period. Bid Security Must Accompany Each Bid and Must Be in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent of the Total Bid Price if the Base Bid Exceeds $50,000.00. Bid Security May Be Submitted Prior to Bid Opening Either Electronically Utilizing Surety2000 at Www.surety2000.com, or Delivered to the Nfta in an Opaque Sealed Envelope. In the Event a Bidder Utilizes an Offline Bid but Provides Bid Security Electronically the Electronic Bid Bond Number Must Be Submitted With the Offline Bid. The Contractor Shall Perform Not Less Than 50% of the Work With Its Own Forces. The Time of Completion for the Project is 375 Calendar Days After Receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The NFTA goals for this procurement are 18% MBE, 4% WBE, & 3% SDVOB.
