Renovation of a medical facility in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Upgrades and improvement to the psychiatry unit located in 4B sector of the Hospital. The scope of the project will include the division of the 34-bed unit into two sectors: the Eastern sector of the unit will be redeveloped to dedicate 5 rooms to acute care and the provision of related services such as: guard post, living room/dining room, isolation rooms, showers, etc. The rest of the unit, which includes 29 beds, will remain dedicated to general mental health care. With the aim of making the unit safer, more functional and more welcoming for clients and nursing staff, the main guard station and the dining room/living room of the 29-bed unit will be completely renovated. TIMELINE: Process of the Request for proposals from architectural professional consulting firms to provide design and construction work monitoring services has closed. Submissions are deposited. The owner is selecting a service provider from four firms submitted their proposals. Award is anticipated in fall 2024. Further update at that time. Expected duration of the contract without options (in months): 16.
