Renovation of a municipal facility in Freeport, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project Summary: The project involves the removal of the existing fire alarm and smoke detection equipment and the installation ofa new fire alarm and fire detection system at the Freeport Armory All removals and new work shall be in accordance with the documents and any specific requirements as called for in the contract for Construction. Projected date of usage: As soon as possible after commencement ofcontract and/or mutually agreed upon date Special Requirements a. The Contractors shall make themselves aware (by site visits) ofall existing site and utility conditions. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's bond in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the bid insuring to the benefit of the Village of Freeport, or a certified check of not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, made payable to the Village of Freeport, to assure the entering of the successful bidder into an acceptable contract. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals received and subject to these reservations, shall award the contract to the lowest qualified and responsible bidder. Bids which in the opinion of the Board, are unbalanced, shall be rejected. In submitting a bid, bidders agree not to withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the date for the opening thereof.
