Site work and paving for a civil project in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call civil work for a bridge / tunnel, road / highway and water / sewer project.
Term of Contract 1.1 Effective date: Work cannot commence before July 1, 2024, the date the State obtains all required signatures under Minn. Stat. 16C.05, subd. 2, whichever is later. The Contractor must not begin work under this Contract until this Contract is fully executed and the Contractor has been notified by the State to begin the work. 1.2 Expiration date: December 31, 2024, or until all obligations have been satisfactorily fulfilled, whichever occurs first. 1.3 Survival of terms: The following clauses survive the expiration or cancellation of this Contract: Indemnification; State Audits; Government Data Practices and Intellectual Property; Publicity and Endorsement; Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Venue; and Data Disclosure. Any other Contract term that states it shall survive, shall survive. PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 177.41 to 177.44 and corresponding Minnesota Rules 5200.1000 to 5200.1120, this contract is subject to the prevailing wages as established by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Specifically, all contractors and subcontractors must pay all laborers and mechanics the established prevailing wages for work performed under the contract. Failure to comply with the aforementioned may result in civil or criminal penalties. Prevailing Wage requirements apply to a contract or work under a contract, under which: 1. only one trade or occupation is required to complete it and the project is greater than $2,500; or 2. the estimated total cost of completing the project is greater than $25,000. The Contractor and Subcontractor shall furnish to the Contracting Authority and the Project Owner all payrolls, of all workers on the project, via E-mail as attachments, to the appropriate E-mail address: prevailingwage.dnr@state.mn.us SCOPE The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete a variety of excavation work including, but not limited to beaver dam removal, culvert installation, crossing removal, culvert cleaning, gravel exploration and minor ditch cleaning in areas located in Northern Beltrami, Roseau, and Western Lake of the Woods Counties. Majority of the excavation work is dispersed across the forest. Exception would be beaver dam removal. Most of the dam removal occurs in the southern portion of the forest on Dick's Parkway, Moose River East, Moose River West, and Rapid River Forest Roads. A power shovel (also known as a track hoe) is required for this solicitation. Estimated excavation of 50-100 hours per year, no guarantee of hours. LOCATION OF WORK The location of the project is: Northern Beltrami, Roseau, and Western Lake of the Woods Counties (see attached maps). The work is to be performed on property owned by the State of Minnesota, Department of Natural Resources.
