Direct all inquiries concerning this RFP to: Bronwyn Redus Senior Planner Email: Bronwyn.Redus@raleighnc.gov Deadline for Written Questions May 22, 2024 City Response to Questions (anticipated) May 29, 2024 The City of Raleigh (COR) is solicitating proposals from one or more firm(s) with which to contract for the following services: The City of Raleigh Department of Planning & Development invites firms to submit proposals for consulting services to undertake area planning focusing on land use and transportation planning, infrastructure sufficiency planning, natural resource conservation planning, and public participation and engagement efforts. The city seeks to engage one or more teams to provide specified multidisciplinary technical services for the Northeast Special Area Study, located outside of Raleigh's extra-territorial jurisdiction, but within its short-range urban service area. A sample scope of work is provided as an attachment. Awarded projects may be funded from a variety of sources. The City of Raleigh may award a contract or contracts to one or more firms based on the selected specialization, geographic area, and funding availability. The City of Raleigh reserves the right to procure the services described in these solicitation documents from other firms at its sole discretion. A qualified team of experts will be selected based on proven excellence in preparing studies that encompass the following elements: 1. Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) extension evaluation and growth scenarios for infrastructure and municipal service planning including water, sewer, police, fire, and solid waste services; and 2. Land use and transportation planning; and 3. Natural resource and significant environmental spaces inventory; and 4. Equitable community engagement.
