The work covered by the Contract Documents consists of improvement to the Nims Elevated Storage Tank, located on Nims Street in Muskegon, Michigan. Included in this work is furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, activities and related costs necessary for completing the improvements. The project scope of work is as follows The Prime Contractor is hereby notified that their bidding on this project must follow, document, and maintain documentation of their Good Faith Efforts to ensure that DBEs have the opportunity to participate in the project by increasing DBE awareness of procurement efforts and outreach. Posting solicitations for quotes/proposals from DBEs in the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association (MITA) website in accordance conditions detailed in Exhibit 1 is required The project shall be substantially complete on or before September 26, 2025. Final restoration and project completion shall occur on or before October 31, 2025. Tank Information: The structure is a 1,000,000-gallon radial arm elevated water storage tank with an estimated lowwater level of 100 ft. located on Nims St. in Muskegon, Michigan. The work includes: Exterior: High pressure water clean (5,000 to 10,000 psi) and spot power tool clean to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy urethane system. Foundation: Water clean and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system. Mixer: Install a mechanical mixer. Repairs: 1) Install a gasket on the wet interior roof hatch. 2) Install deflector bars on the fill/draw pipe. 3) Install a flap gate on the overflow discharge. 4) Install a roof/sidewall platform. 5) Balcony drain holes. 6) Install a swing gate at the step-off platform opening. 7) Replace roof vent with a pressure vacuum vent. 8) Install bowl rigging couplings. Also included is all associated mechanical, electrical, controls, site, and restoration work. Soliciting DBEs for bids can also take the form of direct emails, phone solicitations, posting a notice on your Website, etc. See the Proposal Checklist and Exhibit 1 for additional requirements. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least one hundred twenty (120) days thereafter.
