Demolition, site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Blythe, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and for the construction of a 1,120-square-foot fire / police facility.
The contractor shall furnish all travel, parts, labor, materials, rentals, equipment, disposal, transportation, permits, plans, inspections, and supervision necessary to remove concrete and replace Boat Storage at Fire Station 43 Blythe to provide a 100% completed project as follows: Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following: o Demolition and disposal of existing concrete hose ramp (Attachment B in red area) o Removal of base soil from the end of the hose ramp to the sidewalk (Attachment B in red area). o Prepare grade to 90% compaction for installation of new concrete. o Install 4" concrete slab with #4 bar 18" on center in place of hose ramp and landscape leading up to sidewalk: dowel rebar into the existing concrete (Attachment B in red area) o Install 6' x 5' drive approach (Attachment B yellow area) to widen the drive approach to include a new concrete slab. o Demolition, haul away and disposal of existing shade structure and woodshed. o Furnish and install a 70' deep x 16' wide high metal structure in place of the existing shade structure and hose ramp to be anchored to a new 4" concrete slab. o Structure will include the following: High metal structure to be 14-gauge min for interior framing Roof and siding to be min of 26 gauge. Manual metal slat roll-up door 12' wide x 14' high with metal chain hoist (1) 36" Hollow metal man door with locking hardware (2) overhead interior lights (2) 120v outlet - (1) at the front of Metal Structure and (1) at the rear of the Metal Structure All sides of the Metal Structure to be covered completely by min 26-gauge Metal to-concrete slab The following license is required for this project: General B- General Building Contractor, C-21 Demolition, C-8 Concrete, C-10 Electrical, issued by the state of California. Contractor shall obtain, maintain, and pay all licenses associated with construction activities, such as business licenses, Contractor's licenses, and vehicle and equipment licenses. To meet the licensing requirements, Contractors must list any subcontractors accordingly in the applicable section. It is agreed that time is of the essence for completion of this work. Therefore, the parties agree the awarded bidder (Contractor) shall pay to the County, as fixed and liquidated damages, and not as penalty, a dollar sum in the amount of $400.00 per day for each calendar day beyond the allowed time stated in the Contract Documents after which the work is completed. It is the responsibility of the bidder to confirm the transmission of correspondence. The work shall be commenced on a date to be specified in the Agreement from the County and shall be completed within or up to Sixty (60) days or per construction schedule following the date specified in County's Agreement. The enclosed certified or cashier's check or bid bond on the provided form, made payable to the County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, is hereby given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute and deliver the Agreement and required bonds if awarded the contract.
