Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility.
The Work under this Contract shall include all labor, materials, and related items to complete the walk demolition project at the Health and Human Services facility. This facility within the County Parks System will be open and operational during the project, and will require coordination with Owner's representative to maintain public access during construction. Prospective bidders should thoroughly review bid documents for specific information. The Work shall include: a. Permitting as required by municipality. b. Traffic and erosion control. c. Concrete walk removal. d. Concrete curb and gutter removal. e. Preparation/Construction of subgrade. f. HMA Pavement application. g. Construction of concrete curb & gutter. h. Site restoration - topsoil, seed, fertilizer, and erosion mat. i. Pavement marking. Oral, faxed, or e-mailed Bids will be rejected. Bids will be submitted using the Bid Form provided herein. Bid security shall be by a qualified surety in the form of Bid bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of Bid amount and shall be submitted with the Bid. Bidders shall agree to not withdraw the Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after due date of Bids. Bidders Proof of Responsibility, provided herein, shall be completed, and submitted. Accepted Bidders will be required, as a condition precedent to award of Contract, to furnish in the amount of 100% of the contract price, satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The right to reject any or all Bids, either in whole or in part, or to waive any informalities or irregularities is reserved by Waukesha County. Examine all Drawings, as successful Bidder will be required to execute all Work belonging to their Contract which is shown on Drawings, stated in the Specifications, or reasonably implied as necessary to complete their Contract, including removal of existing work and preparing present work to receive new Work, if such be the requirements of actual job conditions. Visit site to become acquainted with: Adjacent areas; means of approach to the site; present conditions of project site; and facilitiesfor delivering,storing, placing, and handling of materials and equipment. Compare Specifications and Drawings with existing work in place, inspect demolition requirements and inform yourself of all conditions affecting execution of Work, including other new work, if any, being performed.
