2024 Roof Replacement Port Huron Northern High School Port Huron Area School District will accept sealed proposals for the roof replacement for Port Huron Northern High School, located at 1799 Krafft Road, Port Huron, MI 48060. Each proposal must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or standard form bid bond, made payable to the Port Huron Area School District in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid submitted. Failure of any accepted Bidder to enter into contract for the work will cause forfeit of his bid security. After contracts for the work have been signed, all bid securities will be returned. As required by State Law (P.A. 232 of 2004) all proposals/bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Port Huron Area School District Board or the Superintendent of the School District. Additionally, as required by State Law (P.A. 517 of 2012), the bidder must certify that it is not an Iran linked business as defined by P.A. 517 and that it will comply with the district's criminal background check requirements. The Board will not accept a bid that does not include these sworn and notarized statements. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity or informality in bids, to reject any and/or all bids, in whole or in part, or to award any Contract to other than the low bidder, should it be deemed in the Owner's best interest to do so. Remove existing stone ballast and dispose of in a legal manner . Remove existing perimeter edge metal and dispose of in a legal manner . Remove existing roof membrane and dispose of in a legal manner . Inspect excising roof insulation and replace any wet or damaged insulation at a predetermined square foot cost. . Mechanically fasten the existing insulation per manufacturer's specifications. . Install (1) layer of 3/8" fan fold insulation over existing roof insulation. . Install a 50 mil Duro Last PVC roof membrane over the entre roof area. The roof membrane is to be mechanically fastened per manufacturer's specifications. . Flash and seal all roof penetrations per manufacturer's specifications. . Install two way breather vents per manufacturer's specifications. . Install walk way pads at service doors on all RTU and at roof access points. . Install wood nailers if required at roof perimeter for new fascia metal. Install new two piece compression fascia metal at roof perimeter. Metal is to be 24 gauge with a kynar finish and meet ES-1 requirements. Edge metal is to be included in the roof warranty. . Provide complete clean up and removal of all job related debris.
