Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Concord, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of: site mobilization, grinding of existing concrete, epoxy injection for repairing cracks, installation of 4 part multi coat epoxy layer to fully waterproof the moat floor and inner walls up to high water mark, install concrete encasement around existing HVAC pipes in moat with rebar and other items required, test electrical power from Wing C basement panel to electrical boxes around the moat, provide report on test results, replace and restore fountain fixtures, test fountain system and fixture connections, program and set up timing for fountain fixtures, replace float valve for existing system, ensure proper drainage of moat to drain to north corner of the moat, providing required submittals, testing results, replace electrical wiring and light fixtures (if required), final testing and cleanup, attending weekly meetings, providing schedules, and coordinating with other projects ongoing at Civic Center. This project includes preparatory work and site cleanup daily, and all other work as specified in these Special Provisions, Technical Sections, and as shown on the Plans. Engineer's Estimate: $200,000 All Bids Shall Be Presented Under Sealed Cover and Shall Be Accompanied by Cash, Cashier's or Certified Check or a Bidder's Bond Executed by a Corporate Surety Insurer. The Bidder's Guarantee Shall Be in an Amount Equal to at Least Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid and Made Payable to the City of Concord. The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor, Class "B" General Building, Class "C-53" Swimming Pool, or Class "C-35" Lathing and Plater. A Class "C-10," Electrical license will be required for any fountain/electrical system upgrades (if required based on diagnostics & testing). Further, only a contractor registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to submit a bid. Furthermore, only subcontractors registered with the DIR to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to perform work or labor or render service under subcontract to the subject contractor. The City Council has ascertained that State of California prevailing wage rates are applicable for this and all City projects The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code and with applicable City regulations. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, will be valued by the City's Finance Director, whose decision on valuation of the securities will be final For Information and Questions Regarding the Project, Contact Kevin Wheat, P.e., at Kevin Wheat @cityofconcord.org. In the event Bidder has any question as to the meaning of any part of the Contract Documents, or Bidder finds any error, omission, inconsistency, or ambiguity in the Contract Documents, Bidder shall make a written Request for Clarification prior to submitting its Bid. Requests for clarification or interpretation of the Contract Documents shall be addressed only to the Engineer designated in the Notice to Contractors. See Appendix B for Bidder Request for Clarification form, to be filled out and submitted with all requests. It shall be the Bidders responsibility to ensure that any such request is submitted to the City no later than 07/18/2024 at 2:00 PM Pto allow sufficient time for the City to issue a written Addendum.
