Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) is preparing to initiate a competitive solicitation for groundworks related to the construction of a bypass track around its North Bay yard. The bypass track corridor is estimated to be 986m (3,235') in length and approximately 10m (32.81') wide. Clearing and Grubbing has already been completed. Respondents will complete all groundworks required up to sub-ballast level. Work will include earth cut/fill, rock excavation, ditching and the installation of culverts. The procurement will be completed using a Request for Proposal (RFP). ONTC's fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31 each year. It is ONTC's intent to complete the project within 40 days after the contract has been executed. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be published end of June 2024. This is conditional on the RFP documents being completed.
