MAINTENANCE CONTRACT SCOPE OR WORK: Full-service maintenance contract of one (1) traction elevator, seven (7) hydraulic elevators and one (1) wheelchair lift in various buildings managed by City of Sugar Land. Maintenance shall include callback coverage, both normal and emergency, routine preventative maintenance visits and repair, adjustment or replacement of all vertical transportation components. Additional Terms or Conditions: If a unit is out of service due to equipment malfunction, failure or Contractor's negligence for one (1) consecutive week or longer, than a penalty of $250 will be assessed to the Contractor for each week the unit is out of service. BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK MODERNIZATION CONTRACT SCOPE OR WORK: Modernization of six elevators (4 base bid and 2 alternate) in various buildings managed by City of Sugar Land, inclusive of a three-year maintenance agreement. Scope of modernization inclusive of new controllers, valve, pump and tank units, door operators, fixtures, etc. Liquidated Damage Amount for Failure to Meet Time for Substantial Completion: $250 per Calendar Day Liquidated Damage Amount for Failure to Complete Punch List Items by Time for Final Completion: $100 per Calendar Day The City is not responsible for lateness or non-delivery of mail, carrier, etc. The date/time stamp in the City Secretary's office will be the official time of receipt. Bids cannot be altered or amended after submission deadline. Any alterations or erasures made before opening time must be initialed by the signer of the bid, guaranteeing authenticity.
