This project entails replacing approximately 1,750 linear feet of aging water mam and installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of new 4-inch and 6-inch C900 PVC water main within the public right-of-way ofSR 131 and. 7501mear feet of 6-inch HDPE installed under the Cowlitz River by horizontal directional drilling (HDD). Work also includes traffic control, water service replacements, fire hydrant installation, PRV vault, master meters, asphalt restoration, and miscellaneous appurtenances associated with water system work. Owner Rights: The District reserves the right, to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a proposal of t he lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, republish the call for bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the District is served. Bond Notes: All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the District.
