The Project includes the following Work: Spruce Street: Water main, storm sewer and mill & fill work. First Street: Relief sewer and restoration work. See ad online for more details This work consists of obtaining local permits including but not limited to the following: 1. Obtain a permit from the Manistee County Soil Erosion Department for soil erosion and sedimentation control for the project. The estimated fee for this permit is $200. Obtain all necessary permits from local governments prior to placing construction signing or beginning any work on local roads. Obtaining all required permits for the project is the responsibility of the Contractor per subsection 107.02 of the Standard Specifications for Construction. Required information not submitted within the specified timeframe will not be a valid reason for an extension of time or additional compensation. Untimely submittals may cause a delay in receipt of comments and/or approvals. This work shall consist of all excavation, including earth, necessary to shape the subgrade and aggregate base to the cross-sections shown on the plans for pavements, sidewalks, curbs, drive approaches, etc. within the construction limits of the project, further defined as the road right-of-way plus the side street approach removal limits and grading permit areas. The work shall include removal of landscape beds including timbers and shrubs within the right-of-way as needed to facilitate sidewalk construction. The work shall include proper disposal of excavated materials. This work shall also include all embankment and grading necessary to shape areas behind curb and gutter around all drives and all sidewalks to allow for placement of topsoil. The work of Sewer, Cl A, 12 inch, Tr Det B shall consist of excavation, furnishing and placing sewer pipe, and trench backfill, in accordance with section 402 of the Standard Specifications for Construction, Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Plan R-83 series and the details within the construction plans, except as modified herein. This work consists of preparing all lawns and slopes on projects designated for slope restoration on the plans or as directed by the Engineer and applying topsoil, fertilizer, hydroseed, hydromulch, or mulch blanket with mulch anchor, high velocity mulch blanket with mulch anchor and permanent turf reinforcement mat to those areas. Turf establishment must be in accordance with section 816 of the Standard Specifications for Construction and Standard Plan R100 Series, except as modified herein or otherwise directed by the Engineer. This work consists of providing all labor, materials, supervision, appliances, equipment, and appurtenances to provide and install the watermain materials as part of the City of Manistee water system, as shown on the plans and specified herein. This work consists of furnishing and installing acceptable alternatives to inlet protection devices (devices) listed in the Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Manual when the pay item Erosion Control, Inlet Protection, Fabric Drop is included in the contract. This work consists of furnishing, installing, maintaining, disposing of collected material and removing devices at the locations shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer.
