The New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (hereinafter "OPWDD") has the authority to provide care, treatment, rehabilitation, education, training and support services to developmentally disabled persons. OPWDD is also empowered to take all actions necessary, desirable, and proper to carry out its purposes and objectives within budgetary amounts made available by appropriations. Staten Island Developmental Disabilities State Operations Office (hereinafter "OPWDD") is an agency of OPWDD serving Richmond County. OPWDD contracts with numerous organizations to provide these required services and other physical benefits. Such contracts may be with not-for-profit or for-profit organizations as well as with other governmental organizations. CR Number: 2109895 The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) on behalf of the Staten Island Developmental Disabilities State Operations Office (DDSOO) is soliciting sealed bids from responsible and qualified contractors to provide Therapeutic Pool Maintenance Services for Persons with Developmental Disabilities who attend Elizabeth Connelly Center located at 930 Willowbrook Rd., Building 26F, Staten Island, NY 10314 operated by Staten Island DDSOO. This is a therapeutic, indoor, in-ground pool measuring 20ft x 40ft and requires year-round weekly and monthly maintenance. Contractor must be a Certified Pool/Spa Operator, able and prepared, to provide proof of CPO Certification. The Contractor will, unless otherwise specified, furnish all necessary materials, equipment, and supplies required and/or so specified to accomplish the work described in this contract. The Contractor must provide safety data sheets for all chemicals used in the swimming pool maintenance and operation to the DDSOO and the site. The Contractor must be available within 60 minutes once given notice that the NYC Health Department Inspector is present at the site. Contractor must be available to provide service calls by the House Manager or designee in the event of water-related emergencies in a pool environment. Response time shall be within two (2) hours of call. Contractor must provide a phone number for accepting calls 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. OPWDD must be notified immediately of any phone number changes. Cost for such repairs will be reimbursed separately from this contract. The Contractor must be available within 60 minutes once given notice that the NYC Health Department Inspector is present at the site. Prevailing Wages will apply to all maintenance repairs under this contract. The PRC number for this contract is PRC# 2023014319. The Contractor agrees that without expense to the State, insurances will be maintained during the period of the proposal and contract. All bidders must submit at least three (3) work references that will verify that the bidder or its principals have at least three (3) years of relevant experience to complete the work as listed in Qualifications and Scope of Work. No Subcontracting of services is allowed with this IFB without written permission of OPWDD. OPWDD will select the responsible and responsive Bidder that will provide the lowest Estimated Annual Cost. Only proposals judged to be responsive to the submission requirements set forth in this IFB will be evaluated. Any alteration of the cost proposal form may result in disqualification of the bid.
