Site work for a civil project in Bryan, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
In order to ensure a fair and public process, all questions related to this Request for Proposals shall be addressed in writing, via the Brazos Valley Online Bidding System to the individual identified above prior to 10:00 AM CST on May 23, 2022. Contact with any City of Bryan employee or official is prohibited without prior written consent from the City Purchasing Supervisor. Failure to observe this requirement may be grounds for rejection of the Proposal. Project Estimated Budget: The proposed estimated budget for construction costs for this Project is $4,000,000.00 inclusive of all incidental and contingent expenses associated with the construction of the entire scope of the Project. Project Scope: The City anticipates the scope of work for the Project to consist of the following responsibilities and the following items: Furnish and install all labor, materials, equipment, appliances, and services necessary of the completion of the work consisting of installation of 13,820 linear feet of 18-inch water line, of which 190 LF is installed in 30-inch steel casing pipe by either Pipe Boring, Jacking, or Tunneling across W. State Highway 21 and 110 LF is installed in 30-inch steel casing pipe on piers across Thompson Creek, 130 LF of 12-inch water line, 15 LF of 6-inch water line, installation of air valves, gate valves, blowoff valves, fire hydrants, service lines, water system connections, pipe supports, relocation of meters, roadway repairs, driveway repairs, traffic control, construction of pipe bridge on drilled piers, aerial crossings over storm drains and drainage ways, slope stabilization rip rap, and other miscellaneous work items for complete project. The Project will be designed and constructed so as to meet all applicable federal, state, and local accessibility standards. The selected Offeror will be also responsible for: obtaining all applicable permits and inspections; providing all necessary performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates; and providing the Owner with all manufacturers' warranties and all operations and maintenance (O & M) manuals for all equipment installed. The selected Offeror may be required to perform some or all of the following pre-construction and construction services. Preconstruction Services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, planning and value engineering the Work. Construction Services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, all work associated with construction, occupancy and warranty of the facilities. All proposals shall be accompanied by a proposal bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total proposal amount payable to the City of Bryan, from a surety company authorized to do business in Texas as a guarantee that the Proposer will enter into a contract and provide required insurance within five (5) business days after receiving a Notice of Intent to Award, and will provide to City all submittals required by this contract within ten (10) business days from Notice of Intent to Award, and will provide to the City executed Performance and Payment bonds within seven (7) business days after City Council Award of Contract. The bond shall be on the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from a Surety Company holding a permit in the State of Texas and approved by the Federal Government, and must bear the impressed seal of the surety company and the name of the Proposer, and be signed by the Proposer and an authorized representative of the surety company.
