The work consists of trenchless rehabilitation and open-cut spot repairs of existing sewers and rehabilitation of existing sewer manholes of the Brockton sewer system within sub-areas 17, 19, 48, and 55. The work includes light and heavy cleaning of sewers, television inspection, open-cut spot repairs, chemical root control and cured-in-place (CIP) sewer pipe lining, and rehabilitation of sewer manholes. Cured-in-place pipe lining will include television inspection and testing and sealing of the first two joints of each service connection. The work also includes, but is not limited to, all restoration, bypass pumping, and miscellaneous work and cleanup. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Estimated Cost $1,900,000 Preparatory cleaning and internal television inspection, and installation of curedin-place liner with follow-up testing and sealing of service connections for approximately 34,500 linear feet of existing 6- to 12-inch sewer mains as identified in Table A. b. Grinding of protruding tapped sewer services prior to installation of cured-in-place liner. c. Chemical root control removal for approximately 6,400 linear feet of existing 6- to 8-inch sewer mains as identified in Table B. d. Rehabilitation of approximately 130 sewer manholes as identified in Table C. e. Perform cleaning and internal television inspection for additional existing 6- to 12- inch sewer mains as identified in Table D. f. Performing heavy cleaning and internal television inspection of existing 6- to 12- inch diameter sewer mains, as needed. g. Open-cut spot repairs of mainline sewers identified by Contractor during preparatory cleaning and television inspection work. h. Open-cut replacement of sewer service from mainline to property line identified by Contractor during preparation cleaning and television inspection work. i. Note it is the Owner's intention to complete required open-cut spot repairs with Brockton Sewer Department crews, but Contractor may be required to complete spot repairs, as directed by the Engineer and Owner. j. Maintain existing sewer flow (bypass pumping) during the work, including all cured-in-place pipe lining, as needed and as described in Section 015728 "Temporary Bypass Pumping Systems." k. Traffic management. l. All other incidental work to complete the project as specified herein and as shown on the Drawings. PROJECT NO.
