Questions relating to this solicitation shall be emailed to Rosario Sambueno at bfspurchasing@honolulu.gov Question Deadline 05/22/2024 This project includes the construction of a new building for the Traffic Signal Maintenance Division for the City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation. This Facility will include a warehouse space with approximately 4,000 square feet and a mezzanine with approximately 1,400 square feet of storage space, employee lockers and showers, an Electronic Workshop with accompanying storage for parts, an administrative office space and conference/break room. Parking is also provided for building occupants and to replace any car parking spaces that were displaced form the existing bus facility. The building footprint is 7,465 square-feet with a gross area of 12,432 square feet. The building exterior walls are primarily CMU and cast-in-place structurally reinforced concrete. The roof will consist of a built-up modified bitumen roofing system. That the time of completion for the Basic Bid shall be within 445 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed and shall include provisions for the following: a. Submittals of shop drawings and materials for City review and approval. Submittals shall commence within 15 calendar days from the date of Notice To Proceed (NTP) and procurement of long lead items shall commence immediately after approval of required submittals. b. Approval of required permits including grading and building permits, NPDES permit, SMA permit, and any other permitting actions, as required. Approval of the necessary permits for this project is anticipated to take 3-6 months from the award of the contract. Construction onsite cannot commence until approval of all necessary permits, unless otherwise directed by the Officer-inCharge. c. Landscaping and grassing requirements to include the _120 calendar day maintenance period.
