Site work for a water / sewer project in Midlothian, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of August 13, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Scope of Work: The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the Work described below and all related appurtenances. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Providing a concrete floodwall surrounding the facility and tying into adjacent high ground. 2. Providing plant drain and stormwater drainage structures, inlets, gates, piping, and channels. 3. Providing an equalization basin, pumping equipment, and associated force main. 4. Relocation of existing underground utilities including potable water, sanitary sewer, electrical, gas, drain, and communication lines. 5. Providing buried and exposed electrical conduit and wire throughout the facility. 6. Replacement of existing valves, gates, piping, and associated equipment in the existing sludge lagoons. 7. Clearing and trimming of vegetation along Swift Creek for stream enhancement. 8. Improvements to the existing site entrance at Hull Street Road. Firms submitting bids who wish to make site visits in conjunction with this solicitation are asked to schedule the site visit by contacting: Anne Urenda, Utilities Principal Engineer at urendaa@chesterfield.gov or by phone at (804) 768- 7483 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by Engineer at least 10 days prior to the date for the opening of Bids.
