Bids are invited for several items and quantity of work as follows, 1. Rehabilitate approximately 1,455 linear feet of new sewer line by pipe bursting. Remove and replace six (6) existing manholes with new pre-cast manholes. The Contract Documents, Specifications, and Plans may be examined at the following location: A complete set of the bidding documents are on file at website. Also, plans can be viewed at the City of Kirbyville City Hall, 107 S Elizabeth Avenue Kirbyville, Texas 75956, and Schaumburg & Polk, Inc., 8865 College Street, Beaumont, Texas 77707. There is no cost to view the plans, and printing can be done through the website. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Kirbyville or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (DavisBacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation for Bids are expected to be funded by the City of Kirbyville through its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds. All interested parties are requested to attend. All questions shall be received in writing through CIVCAST or via email until 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024 and will be addressed by Addendum. The City of Kirbyville reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Kirbyville for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
