Reference Number 0000270312 This Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) is an advisory to the industry for the upcoming Two Stage Procurement (RFPQ & ITT) that BGIS will be issuing for a General Contractor to provide construction services for the Booth Administration Building - Chiller York Codepack Replacement at 588 Booth St., Ottawa, ON, K1A 0E4 and the John G. Diefenbaker - Reflective Pond Upgrades and Repairs at 111 Sussex Dr., Ottawa, ON, K1N 1J1. Project Background: GOC2555563-CT: According to the Building Condition Report, conducted in 2021, the existing chiller located at 588 Booth St. is at the end of its service life of 30 year and is prone to operational failure. The current chiller utilizes an R-123 refrigerant which has a high GWP rating, to align with the federal Greening Government Strategy a new R-513a chiller with a lower GWP will be installed. GOC1960593-CT: An investigative study conducted in March 2018 identified problems related to water leaks, flow issues, and poor water circulation in the pond. Concerns of poor water quality along with leaks in the existing membrane have left the pond unusable. Project Description: GOC2555563-CT: Replace the existing chiller with an R-514 centrifugal chiller along with a new refrigerant leak detection system.
