Asphalt Reapir/Seal Coating - Various Sites. Question Deadline 05/21/2024 The anticipated start date will be July 1, 2024. Any contract on a public works project entered into between a contractor and a debarred subcontractor is void as a matter of law. A debarred subcontractor may not receive any public money for performing work as a subcontractor on a public works contract. Any public money that is paid, or may have been paid to a debarred subcontractor by a contractor on the project shall be returned to the District. The Contractor shall be responsible for the payment of wages to workers of a debarred subcontractor who has been allowed to work on the project. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license throughout the duration ofthe Contract. C-12 license is required. Representatives of the District will be present to address any questions bidders may have regarding this Project. Each bid must be accompanied by the bidder's security in an amount of not less than 10% of the amount bid and all required Bid Forms as set forth in these Contract Documents. Per California Civil Code 3247 the successful bidder with a bid in excess of $25,000.00 will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety company that meets all of the State of California bonding Asphalt repair and sealcoating at three (3) locations. Two (2) at Park View Middle School and one (1) at Inland Leaders Charter School. The project is broken down into three (3) separate projects to be bid on separately with bid being awarded to lowest total project total. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bid process.
