Renovation of a detention facility in Chesterfield, New Jersey. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of February 28, 2025, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The DPMC is seeking to engage the services of a fire detection systems firm with the objective to upgrade / repair the existing fire alarm system in Building 1, 2 project will concentrate on the fire alarm system in Building 1, 2 and 3 to abate fire safety violations in these buildings to comply with the New Jersey Uniform Fire Safety Code. In addition, doors in the included buildings that have card access and electronic locks need to be addressed as part of the project. They need to fail safe (unlock) in the event of a fire alarm. If a firm is not currently prequalified, a completed prequalification application must be received by Thursday, June 13, 2024 no later than 4:00 p.m
