Site work and paving for a civil project in Dobbin, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The base bid work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment and supervision to construct Two Step Boulevard - Mound Creek Segment including but not limited to, mobilization, bonds and insurance; construction of approximately 0.9 miles of asphalt roadway and associated roadside ditch/storm sewer infrastructure for drainage; MSE retaining wall, a 3,000 linear foot bridge; stormwater pollution prevention; pavement markings and signage; and all else shown on the construction drawings and detailed in the construction specifications. The deadline to ask questions is 6/12/2024 5:00 PM CST The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. The general Scope of Work for the Contract Documents includes the following: i. Clear areas shown on Contract Documents of obstructions and objectionable materials, including stumps, overhangs, trees, shrubs, logs, trash, rubbish, and other debris in conflict with construction. Haul off all vegetation cleared and dispose offsite. Chipping and spreading on-site will not be permitted. Burning will not be permitted. No clearing shall be completed outside of limits noted on plans without Engineer approval. ii. Strip existing topsoil in areas requiring earthwork. Undesirable material (organic material, wet, soft, or loose soil) in place shall be removed. iii. Install stormwater pollution prevention measures per Contract Documents. iv. Install, maintain, and remove temporary low water crossings or culverts within project limits per Contract Documents. v. Proof-roll exposed soil subgrade. Undesirable material (organic material, wet, soft, or loose soil) in place shall be removed and replaced with well-compacted material. Prior to placement of fill, exposed soil subgrade should be scarified to a minimum depth of 6 inches and recompacted. vi. Perform earthwork, including excavation and fill to final grades shown on Plans. Stockpile excess excavated material on site in location approved by Engineer/Inspector. vii. Install asphalt pavement, bridge, and MSE walls. Install slope paving at bridge abutments. viii. Install traffic control plan per Contract Documents prior to connection of pavement to Fish Creek Thoroughfare. Contractor shall maintain and be responsible for positive drainage during all phases of construction and shall maintain access to all existing roads and driveways throughout project. ix. Perform site restoration, including turf establishment. x. Clean-up project area upon completion.
