Renovation of a mixed-use development in Paterson, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and municipal facility.

The County of Passaic is requesting bid proposals 401 Grand St Prisoner Elevator Modernization (Paterson NJ) and Sheriff's Headquarters 435 Hamburg Turnpike Accessibility Lift Elevator (Wayne NJ) Questions period open Wednesday May 22, 2024 Questions period closed Wednesday June 5, 2024- 5:00 PM the County reserves the right to reject bid proposals for the reasons stated therein. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials, BUT IS NOT LIMITED to the following: The Passaic County Administration Building in Paterson NJ serves as offices for County employees and provides court services under the Passaic County Vicinage. There is one elevator Car #5 which serves as a transport for prisoners from the lower level to the 8th and 9th floor. This elevator has ceased to function and needs equipment replacement and minor modernization in the cab. The Passaic County Sheriffs Department has their headquarters at 435 Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne NJ. This facility serves as office space for the Sheriff and Sheriffs dept. personnel. The facility has a 1st and second floor served only by stairs in the lobby. Due to ADA requirements, it has been determined that an accessibility enclosed lift shall be installed in the lobby of 435 Hamburg Turnpike, to facilitate any member of the public or staff that will need access to the second floor.
