PURPOSE A. The purpose of this ITB is to secure a qualified general licensed contractor to complete the Project construction, as specified herein, and in accordance to the EXHIBIT A Drawings. This Project will entail an interior renovation of a portion of the Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center facility located at 3800 SW 92nd Avenue, Davie FL 33324. The services shall encompass furnishing adequate and appropriate labor, machines, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, supervision, insurance, permits, and incidentals. B. This Project consists of completing building interior and exterior renovations, demolishing the kitchen and extending the exercise rooms #2 and #3, reconfiguring the existing electrical room, removing and replacing and repairing exterior wood beams and truss structures, and renovating the new break room and first aid room. Work components include demolition, concrete, concrete reinforcement, electrical, lighting, HVAC, and plumbing work. C. The Bid shall be priced at unit cost unless otherwise specified, as listed in the bid form, to include all labor, machines, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, supervision, insurance, and incidentals. All materials utilized and installed shall be new. All materials, parts, and sundries utilized shall conform to manufacturers' recommendations and be compliant with existing systems. The Town specifically reserves the right to accept all or any part of the bid, to increase or decrease the quantity to meet additional or reduced requirements of the Town, without such change affecting the Contract unit price set forth in the bid form by the bidder. D. It is the intent of the Town of Davie (Town) to award a single Contractor based on the lowest responsive responsible bidder. E. Based on the results of this Bid and dependent on the best interest of the Town, the Town may proceed with renovations in phases prioritized by the Town's designated Project Manager. F. No bonding is required for this Project.
