2022 Bond, Improvements to Streets, Bridges, and Sidewalks Phase II. The Project Includes Improvements to Several Streets Located Within the City of Live Oak. In Case of Lack of Clarity in Stating Prices, the Owner Reserves the Right to Consider the Most Advantageous Construction Thereof, or Reject the Bid. Proposals Must Be Accompanied by a Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond From a Surety Company Holding a Permit in the State of Texas for an Amount Equal to 5% of the Amount Bid. The Amount of Said Cashier's Check or Bond Will Be Forfeited to the Owner and the Bank or Surety Shall Be Liable to the Owner for the Amount in the Event the Successful Bidder Shall Fail or Refuse to Enter Into a Contract or Furnish Bonds as Hereafter Required Within Ten (10) Days After the Date of Notice of Award. The Successful Bidder Must Furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond on the Forms Provided, Each in the Amount of 100% of the Contract Price From a Surety Company Licensed by the State of Texas. Copies of the Bidding Documents Are on File and Available for Review at the Office of the Engineer. CONTRACTOR shall furnish all materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and all labor and superintendence necessary for construction of the work described herein. The completed work shall not lack any part which can be reasonably implied as necessary for proper and useful operation of the facility. The work, in general, consists of the following: A. Installation of traffic and erosion control measures. B. Utility Construction Sanitary Sewer, Irrigation Conduits. C. Base Repairs D. Mill & Overlay E. Demolition and excavation of existing pavement, curb, sidewalk, and driveways for Streets Identified for Reconstruction. F. Preparation of subgrade. G. Installation of geogrid, flexible base, and Type B Asphalt. H. Installation of Curb, sidewalk, and driveways. I. Installation of final Type D asphalt surface. J. Seed or Sod disturbed soil areas. K. General Clean up and removal of erosion and traffic control measures.
