Site work for a water / sewer project in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work Shall Consist Essentially of the Following Type Items for Holly Hills Water Treatment Plant Improvements 1. Installation of a 300 Gpm Fiberglass Induced Draft Aerator and Steel Support System With Concrete Foundation, 2. Installation of a 18,500 Gallon Welded Steel Above Ground Clearwell, 3 Installation of Two 300 Gpm Vertical Turbine Can Service Pumps and Concrete Foundation, 4. Installation of Chlorine Feed System Including Fiberglass Building and Concrete Slab, 5 Installation of Yard Piping. 6. Installation of New Electrical System, 7. Installation of New Scada System Components, and 8. Site Restoration. Contract Time Shall Be 300 Consecutive Calendar Days From the Effective Date Shown in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages Will Be Assessed for Each Consecutive Calendar Day Thereafter in the Amount of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750.00). Special Damages - in Addition to the Amounts Provided for Liquidated Damages, Contractor, in the Event of Such Default, Shall Pay to the Owner the Actual Costs Reasonably Incurred by Owner for Engineering and Inspection Forces Employed on the Work After the Time Stipulated for Completion of the Work. Bidder Must Be Qualified Under Mississippi Law and Show Current Certificate of Responsibility Issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors Establishing His Classification as to the Value and Type of Construction on Which He is Authorized to Bid. Each Bidder Shall Write His Certificate of Responsibility Number on the Outside of the Sealed Envelope Containing His Proposal. The Outside of the Envelope Should Also Bear the Bidder's Name, Address, and Name of the Project for Which the Bid is Submitted. No Bidder May Withdraw His Bid Within Ninety (90) Days After the Actual Date of the Opening Thereof. Awarding Public Contracts to Non-resident Bidders Will Be on the Same Basis as the Non-resident Bidder's State Awards Contracts to Mississippi Contractors Bidding Under Similar Circumstances. In Order to Ensure That Mississippi's So-called Golden Rule is Followed State Law Requires a Non-resident Bidder to Attach to His Bid a Copy of His Resident State's Current Laws Pertaining to Such State's Treatment of Non-resident Contractors. Each Bidder Must Deposit With His Proposal, a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an Amount Equal to Five Percent (5%) of His Bid, Payable to the City of Horn Lake, as Bid Security. Bidders Shall Also Submit a Current Financial Statement, if Requested by the City. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond Each in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. The Owner Hereby Notifies All Bidders That It Will Affirmatively Ensure That Disadvantaged and Women- Owned Business Enterprises Will Be Afforded the Full Opportunity to Submit Bids in Response to This Invitation. Minority and Women's Business Enterprises Are Solicited to Bid on This Contract as Prime Contractors and Are Encouraged to Make Inquiries Regarding Potential Subcontracting Opportunities, Equipment, Material and/or Supply Needs. When Considering the Award of Any Contract Resulting From This Invitation, the Owner Will Not Discriminate Against Any Bidder on the Grounds of Race, Gender, or National Origin. The City of Horn Lake is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The City of Horn Lake Hereby Notifies All Bidders That It Will Affirmatively Insure That in Any Contract Entered Pursuant to This Advertisement Will Be Afforded the Full Opportunity to Submit Bids in Response to This Invitation and Will Not Be Discriminated Against on the Grounds of Race, Color, Religion, Sex, National Origin, Age, Disability, Sexual Preference, Marital or Veteran Status, or Any Other Legally Protected Status in Consideration for an Award. The City of Horn Lake Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Any Informalities or Irregularities Therein.
