Montgomery County Safety Rest Area Reroof A. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment as necessary to complete the Work specified herein. B. This Work includes but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Removal of existing asphalt shingles and underlayment. 2. Replacement of flashings. 3. New roof shingle system which shall include, but is not necessarily limited to the following: a. Modified shingles. b. Synthetic Felt Vapor barrier underlayment. A. Unit Price 1: 1/2"-inch CD Ext plywood sheathing per S.F. Contractor shall install 1 1/2" polystyrene baffles stapled to the back of new plywood and replace existing r-30 batt insulation below. B. Unit Price 2: Replace Damaged Plywood Soffit per L.F. - Finish to match existing to remain. C. Unit Price 3: Replace Damaged Fascia board per L.F. - Finish to match existing to remain. D. Unit Price 4: Replace Damaged framing at existing roof penetrations per L.F. Alternate #1: Supply a cost to remove existing shingles, underlayment, and trim on all picnic pavilions and install new underlayment, trim, shingles, and snow guards per plan 1/a1 and specifications. Prep and refinish fascia and columns to match existing . In the event of an award, the responsible bidder offering the lowest bid price meeting Specifications will be required to enter into a Contract and provide proof of insurance in the amount required for the project. Said bidder shall also provide a Performance Bond for the full amount of the Contract. In addition, the bidder will be required to furnish a Public Works Bond for a project of $100,000 or greater, for the full amount of the contract. Each bid submitted in connection with this Project shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, payable without condition to the State of Kansas. Upon award of a contract, the Contractor will be provided up to ten (10) sets of printed bid documents. The contractor is responsible for picking up the bid documents or paying for them to be shipped. A Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder meeting conditions and specifications imposed in the call for bids, but the Director, Procurement and Contracts reserves the right to accept any or all bids or to reject any or all bids for sufficient reason(s) and to waive all technicalities if deemed to be in the best interest of the State of Kansas.
