Renovation of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool; and educational facility.
Question deadline 5:00PM Monday June 17, 2024 This is a single prime contract with a Project Labor Agreement (PLA). The Baruch College NVC Pool Renovation project is located at 55 Lexington Avenue NYC. The project scope of work consists of replacing the existing dehumidification unit, heating & ventilating unit, exhaust fans and an outside air fan in the 2nd sub-cellar (B3) pool mechanical equipment room (MER). New equipment will be installed, which includes two dehumidification units, a packaged air conditioning unit with heating coil, exhaust fans and an outside air fan in the 2nd sub-cellar MER. Piping at the cellar and 1st sub-cellar will be upsized to service the new dehumidification and cooling equipment in 2nd sub-cellar. Pool water will be heated by low-pressure steam to a new water heater. Power and controls work is required to accommodate the new AC units. The project also includes architectural work to renovate locker rooms on B3 level, including associated plumbing fixtures and floor drain work. Pool filtration work consists of removing and replacing the pool filter pumps, sump pump, filters, backwash receiver tank, heat exchangers, chemical feed system, CO2 gas feed system and all associated tubing/piping. There is also fire sprinkler replacement work. The work is taking place in an occupied building. The Contractor is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the work of all trades to ensure the scheduled completion date is met. The Contractor is responsible for providing all the work specified at the bid set. Specific requirements for the contract work are also indicated in individual Specification Sections and on Contract Document Drawings.
