This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for selection of an General Contractor for the Medicinal Chemistry Lab Renovation at BC Cancer Research Centre. This project involves converting Bay 5-300/302 of the open-plan lab into a dedicated enclosed chemistry lab with four new ducted fume hoods and mass spectrometry instruments, as well as converting the existing 5-211 cell culture lab into an NMR lab. The scope also includes mechanical and electrical upgrades in the L6 interstitial space and shaft areas to support these conversions. Additional mechanical scope includes the installation of a compressor and N2 generator for the NMR, potentially requiring structural steel engineering. Facility operations must be maintained throughout construction, necessitating hoarding and environmental separation. The project includes testing and balancing of the facility upon completion.
