Renovation of a mixed-use development in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
USC Boiler Replacement Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check or Bid Bond, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount not less than 10% of the Base Bid (but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, pursuant to N.J.S.A 18A:18A-24), naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, Atlantic City Board of Education, to be retained and applied by the undersigned as provided in Contract Documents in case bidder would default in executing the Agreement or furnishing the required bonds and insurance certificates as required by Contract Documents. Prospective bidders are advised that this Project is one which will be subject and will be governed by provisions of New Jersey State Law governing (a) Prequalification of Bidders N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26 et seq., (b) Prevailing Wage Rates N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27, (c) Use of Domestic Materials, N.J.S.A. 1 to 52:34-4 including any amendments and supplements thereto, and (d) P.L. 1977, Chapter 33, (N.J.S.A. 54:25-24-2) listing corporate/partnership names and addresses for inpiduals with a share of 10% or more. "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act" became effective on April 11, 2000. No contractor shall bid unless the contractor is registered pursuant to this act. Pursuant to P.L. 2009, c.315 and N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, all business organizations that do business with a local contracting agency are required to be registered with the State and provide proof of their Registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue before the contracting agency may enter into a contract with the business. In addition, and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, each bid must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating it will provide said bidder with a bond in such sum as required by the above referenced statute. No proposals may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date set for opening of bids. Right is reserved to waive minor irregularities and to reject bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22. Bidders must comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, Chapter 127, N.J.A.C. 17:27 Laws Against Discrimination and NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. The work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Construction layout and preconstruction photographs 2. Selective demolition 3. Removal of existing boiler and associated appurtenances as shown on drawings. 4. Asbestos abatement within boiler equipment. 5. Installation of two (2) new boilers and placing them on the existing concrete pads. Installation of new piping, pumps, fume exhaust and combustion air system and all accessories as required to connect and control into existing heating system. 6. Relocate existing domestic hot water heaters as shown on the drawings 7. Electrical and control work as per electrical drawing and specifications 8. Site cleanup and restorations 9. Contract closeout.
