Site work and paving for a civil project in Sodus Township, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project primarily consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following approximate quantities: - 1,230 feet of 20 to 30-inch sanitary force main - 1,100 feet of 30-inch inside diameter HDPE Horizontal Directional Drilled Force Main - 900 feet of HMA roadway reconstruction Work also includes, but is not limited to, incidental storm sewer replacement, maintenance of traffic, incidental watermain replacement, dewatering, wastewater bypass pumping, and restoration. Contractor shall furnish all material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work. The work to be performed under this contract will be paid for with funds obtained from the State of Michigan's Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program. Federal Davis Bacon wage rates will apply. Federal Labor Standards Provisions and associated documents that are incorporated in this contract are included in Appendix D. The SRF Project Number is 5856-01. The Contractor will be required to comply with the debarment and American Iron and Steel contractual language included in Appendix D. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Benton Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the receipt of bids. The contract is anticipated to be tentatively awarded at the July 3, 2024 Township board meeting contingent upon successful financial arrangements with the EGLE. Notice of Award will be issued within sixty (60) days of the EGLE "Order of Approval" (August 7, 2024), contingent upon the successful sale of bonds by the State Treasury. The project shall be substantially complete by July 4, 2025 Document Notes: Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Hard copy drawings and specifications are available for the fee of $150.00. Prein&Newhof members who want to purchase the hard copy of the drawings only, may do so for $54.00.
