The project will consist of construction of the following work: Development of 1-2 new 8-inch diameter groundwater wells for drinking water supply, and Incidental related work. The Town will award the contract on a unit price bid basis. Bidders must provide contact person and email, business address, and telephone number to receive bid documents. Bids may be withdrawn using the procedure set forth in Virginia Code 2.2-4330 B.1. Bid Security: Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid. Bidders must be licensed as Contractors in the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia (1950) as amended. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President's Executive Order #11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President's Executive Orders #12138 and #11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 .
