Contract Description: This contract consists of the installation of 4 sections of 150 ft of 8" perforated HDPE underdrain with 4 sections of 8" sch. 40 to take underdrain water to the east side of the road at a stable outlet location (details included), install 9 sections of 15" x 40' HDPE road drainage pipe with headwalls and endwalls, install 2500 tons of 2A gravel overtop roadway on the furthest south portion of the project to build up road 2 feet and add the remainder to the north portion of project to have a stable road base. The Contract is located on Wise Road within Rockdale Township, Crawford County. Wise Road begins at the intersection of Mackey Hill Road and ends at the intersection of T840 Road. The project location begins 1700 ft after the intersection of Wise Road and Mackey Hill Road and continues for 2,850 feet, terminating at the intersection of Wise Road and T840. The project is being funded with Dirt, Gravel, and Low Volume Road grant funds provided by Crawford County Conservation District. The obligations imposed on the Owner by the financing agency shall apply to and be acceptable to the successful bidder(s). The Contractor shall be responsible for installing all necessary provided materials as directed by Rockdale Township and outlined within the bidding documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. Prior to the award of the contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount in a form acceptable to the Owner. The bidder will also furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Owner. Bidders for this contract shall have completed projects similar in character and scope and will be required to provide with their bid a completed Statement of Bidders Qualifications and Equipment List in the forms prescribed in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall adhere to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates as set forth in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall also comply with the provisions of the Act of March 3, 1978 (P.L. 6, No. 3 known as the "Steel Procurement Act").
