Steel Improvements: Areas of corrosion in bleacher surface appear to be localized to where joints occur. The main surface of the bleacher floor is made up of steel that is supported by 6 steel beams at approximately 18'-0" o.c. Throughout the run of approximately 184'-0" of bleacher surface. At those 6 steel beam locations there is a joint where steel comes together and is connected. This is an area where water appears to be penetrating, therefore a setting for rust. At areas of extreme rust through the surface of the bleachers, small holes appear. Based on visual observation, there were four holes at this condition throughout various beams in the bleachers. Another joint area occurs at the metal pan that forms the bleacher bench. An additional metal pan is inserted and fits underneath the first metal pan. This is then bolted from underneath. This is another condition where visible extreme rust is occurring. There were three areas of extreme corridors on resulting in a full hole through the surface of the bleachers. Our proposed remediation strategy for these areas where daylight is visible through the bleachers is a cutting and patching solution. At these areas, the intention is for the holes to be cut back to solid steel. A new steel plate is to be attached to the underside of the bleacher surface, then patch from top with a metal reinforced filler to ensure a flush seating and walking surface of occupants above. b. Lead Paint Abatement/Disposal: Independent test results performed on the home stadium bleacher identify the need to properly remove and dispose of paint that contains lead. These test results are provided herein. c. Painting of bleachers: After the lead-paint abatement/disposal work is completed, all surfaces of the bleachers will require epoxy coatings with various additives to address slip-resistance and long-term UV protection Contract 01 - Huco Blasting Services :: 485,130.00 Contract 02 - Panzitta Enterprises, Inc. :: 40,800.00 Contract 03 - Panzitta Enterprises, Inc. :: 156,400.00
