Remedial actions include demolition of the former firing range building; management and abatement of lead contamination on building components prior to and during demolition; removal of lead-contaminated soil from inside and outside of the building; segregation of recoverable bullets/bullet fragments; on-Site soil treatment prior to transportation and permitted off-Site disposal of the treated soil; and handling, transportation, and either reuse, recycling or permitted off-Site disposal of building demolition debris. The Project also includes Site grading and restoration activities following completion of the remedial action and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Engineer's Probable Opinion of Cost ranges from $1,300,000 to $1,400,000. The City of Olympia does not discriminate against any entity based on any status protected by law in consideration for award of a City contract. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by bid bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Olympia, in an amount of not less than (5) percent of the total bid amount.
