Addition of 3 Bus Shelters The Work consists of providing all labor and materials to install three (3) Bus Shelters with pads per the drawings . Drawings: C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-5, C-6, C-7. The prime contractor shall be responsible for all permits, the historical permits will be handled by the owner. The three bus shelters are to be provided by Orange County. These shelters are currently on site at 600 Hwy 86 North, Hillsborough and must be transported to the install locations by the awarded contractor. All work must be completed within 120 days of the project start date (approx. July 1, 2024) (anticipated completion date October 29, 2024). Contractor shall furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising under any of the Contract Documents or related in any way to the Work. Contractor shall immediately furnish a copy of such bonds to any requesting person who appears to be a potential beneficiary of bonds covering payment obligations arising under any of the Contract Documents. This subsection 6(b) applies only to Contracts of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) or more where the total cost for the project is three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) or more. All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper licenses as required under the state laws governing their respective trades. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina, will be observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. General contractors submitting bids on this project must have license classification for "Unlimited Building" or "Unclassified," required by the NC General Contractors Licensing Board under G.S. 87-1 If less than the 10% goal, an Affidavit (D) of its good faith effort to meet the goal shall be provided. The document must include evidence of all good faith efforts that were implemented, including any advertisements, solicitations, and other specific actions demonstrating recruitment and selection of minority businesses for participation in the contract.
