The Sherburne County Planning and Zoning Department has received draft environmental documents for a mining project located in Haven Township. The project involves a 691 acre property for a proposed new sand and gravel mine. Mining is proposed to occur on up to 615 acres. The project will require the County to prepare and approve an Environmental Impact Statement ("EIS") as the Responsible Government Unit for the project. The project proposer has recently submitted a draft scoping Environmental Assessment Worksheet ("SEAW") for the County's review. The County is seeking professional services firms to provide Environmental Consulting Services to the County through the SEAW and EIS process The County reserves the right to request additional information or clarification from Proposers during any phase of the proposal evaluation process. During the evaluation and selection process, the County has the right to request the presence of Proposer's representatives and answer specific questions.
