Renovation of a detention facility in Mason City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
A. Provide a turn-key solution that can last Cerro Gordo County Jail many years in the future. There are certain parts of the infrastructure that are inherent to the building and have a much longer life span or have service parts available still such as some wiring, door locks, etc. This scope does not require those parts to be replaced, it does require them to be tested, function with the new system, and be covered under future service agreements if they are not replaced. The project includes replacing the PLC cards, existing PLC cards and relays, existing power supplies, existing analog audio system, PLC processor, PLC I/O Cards, power supplies, network connections, and any other hardware as needed to operate should be replaced. The system shall have similar functionality that the jail currently has. B. The Audio rack should have new communication controllers, paging, switching, etc. It should also have similar functionality to the existing system. C. The Utility rack should have new PLC/I/O cards, power supplies, circuit breaker modules, relays, etc. It should also have similar functionality that the jail currently has. D. The project includes current card access and camera system upgrades. The new automation system should be able to integrate the cameras and doors with key fobs into it to allow similar functionality that the jail currently has. COMPLETIONDATE A.
