Site work and paving for a civil project in Reed City, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. This contract includes the replacement of aged and undersized watermain along West Franklin Avenue, Sears Street, Church Avenue, Roth Street, and Stimson Avenue, as well as new watermain installation along US-10. The watermain installation includes approximately 8,540 feet of watermain. New valves, connections to existing watermain, capping of existing watermain, and all subsequent restoration (asphalt, concrete, gravel, grass, etc.) are part of this project. The project also includes replacement of service lines in accordance with ELGE's lead and copper rule that are suspected to contain lead. Full replacement includes water services suspected to contain lead, or once connected to lead containing components, that must be replaced from the proposed watermain to 18" inside the foundation or building structure. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. There are also four other separate contracts as part of this project, which includes installation of two new wells and a well house (Contract 2), lead service line replacements (Contract 3), water storage tank improvements (Contract 4), and water meter installations (Contract 5). In addition, there are lead service line replacements outside of the DWSRF project area that are expected to be completed. City reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest.
