Carter Reservoir Rehabilitation, Arroyo Pumping Plant Improvement, and Arroyo Reservoir Replacement Description: Work includes: 1)Carter Reservoir in Moraga: blasting and recoating of the interior and exterior of the existing 0.25-million-gallon steel tank, and replacement of the existing wood roof with an aluminum dome roof, and rehabilitation of the reservoir valve vault and associated mechanical piping, 2)Arroyo Pumping Plant in Moraga: demolish and replace existing meter 3)Arroyo Reservoir in Moraga: demolition and removal of the existing 1.0-million-gallon steel tanks, valve pit, and related piping; construction of two steel tanks (0.29 million gallons capacity) Arroyo Reservoir Nos. 1 and 2 including reinforced concrete foundations, tank shells, aluminum dome roofs, valve structures and associate piping. This project will require multiple trades and types of work; for example (note: this list is not all-inclusive): demolition, saw-cutting, concrete coring, hazardous materials handling, grading, excavation, shoring, fill, concrete, rebar, waterproofing, roofing, tank construction, painting, industrial coatings, bolting, welding, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pipeline, plumbing, handrails, guardrails, gratings and railings, fencing, trucking, landscaping, paving, and other required work and trades. Attendees shall also cover their coughs/sneezes, practice hand washing, and shall not engage in physical contact. Attendees who disregard these health and safety requirements, as well as attendees who feel sick and/or have a cough or fever will not be allowed to attend. Attendees shall assemble at Carter Reservoir, located at 39 Shannon Ct, in Moraga, CA 94556. During the inspection tour, Attendees will also travel to Arroyo Pumping Plant, located 34 Sanders Ranch Road, in Moraga, CA 94556 and Arroyo Reservoir, located at located at 1198 Alta Mesa, in Moraga, CA 94556. This is the only time that the facilities will be open for inspection. The interior of the existing reservoirs will not be open for inspection. The inspection will last approximately 1.5 hours. No photography by the Attendees will be allowed. The District will take photographs, as requested by the Attendees, restricted to the work zone. The District will release photographs to Attendees after the bid walk, pending review by the District. All Attendees are required to have a photo ID and sign a confidentiality agreement not to share, sell, or publish photos. The Prime Contractor and its subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend the jobsite inspection where a "sign-in" sheet will be provided. Requirements of the District's Contract Equity Program including the Local Hire component will be discussed and explained at the jobsite inspection.
