Site work and paving for a civil project in Laval, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Upgrades, repairs and improvements to Des Mille-Îles Boulevard between Highway 25 and the eastern tip of Île Jésus - Saint-François sector in Laval. The scope of work includes road work, paving as well as major river embankment stabilization work. The will essentially consist of stabilizing the embankment of the banks along which the boulevard runs and redeveloping the geometry of this road section by installing a multifunctional path for active mobility and roadside rest areas for pedestrians and cyclists. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary. The firm AECOM completed an environmental impact study for the project implementation. Final scope of work, budget are being finalized. The first field operations are expected to begin in 2027 and will be spread over approximately six years. Further update in fall 2026. Notes: - The firm Macogep was awarded following the request for proposals DOS-2978 to provide Risk analysis and management services during the riverbank slope stabilization project. - The Canada Government has confirmed its $25-million financial support to the project, a total investment is estimated to be over $80 million.
