Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a detention facility in Quitman, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a detention facility; for the demolition of a detention facility; for the renovation of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.

The Project consists of the construction of a new single story inmate housing addition and a new single story kitchen addition for Wood County, Texas, as well as interior renovations, as defined and described in the Specifications and Drawings accompanying this Request for Proposals. The Work consists of, but is not limited to: erosion control, site demolition and clearing, excavation, fill, select fill and backfill; site utilities; concrete sidewalks, rough and finish grading, and topsoil; concrete slab-on-grade, precast hollow core concrete planks, exterior concrete stairs and landings; exterior masonry veneer, interior concrete masonry units (CMU); miscellaneous metals and metal fabrications, steel pipe handrails and guardrails; rough and finish carpentry; dampproofing and waterproofing, caulking and sealants, thermal insulation, flashing and sheet metal; TPO roofing and tapered insulation; hollow metal doors and frames, finish architectural hardware; metal studs and support systems; gypsum drywall, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, seamless flooring, painting and finishing; interior signage, miscellaneous specialties; kitchen equipment; detention doors, frames and locks, detention window frames and glazing; violent cell padding, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Statutory Bonds for performance of the contract and for payment of mechanics and materials will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the contract sum, in accordance with Texas Government Code Ch. 2253. Proposal Surety is required in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the proposal. Payment for work completed will be made monthly equal to 95% of work completed and materials stored.
