Quote for general construction (interior), minor mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work and replacement of kitchen equipment at the Orpheum Theater 220 E Main Street, Marshalltown, IA. This will be a single prime contractor lump sum quote. In general, the work is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: o Replacement of kitchen equipment. o Minor plumbing fixture relocation and electrical modifications. The work under the Contract shall be commenced on or before a date to be specified in the Contract or written Notice to Proceed of the Owner and shall achieve Substantial Completion no later than August 30, 2024. Quotes shall be accompanied by a security deposit in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of no less than 5 percent of the Quote Sum. Endorse the Bid Bond or certified check in the name of the Marshalltown Community School District as obligee, signed and sealed by the Contractor as principal, and the Surety. After a Quote has been accepted, securities will be returned to all other Quoters. The accepted quoter's security deposit will be returned after delivery to the Owner of the required Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond. Include the cost of the Bid security in the Quote Sum. If no contract is awarded, all security deposits will be returned. If the successful quoter fails to execute the contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Marshalltown Community School District. Performance and Payment Bonds: Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The Marshalltown Community School District reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any and all quotes, to waive any informalities, and to accept the quotes determined to be in the best interest of the District. This invitation may be canceled if determined to be in the best interest of the District. Quotes shall remain in effect for a period of 60 days.
