**As of September 17, 2024 project will rebid but no definite date identified yet. The Town of Duxbury is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide consulting and engineering services assessment and design of emergency backup generators for Duxbury Water Department facilities: Mayflower Well #2 and Tremont Wells Treatment Plant. Proposers must have or be firms employing a person with a current license and registration by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a designer or professional engineer, with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the completion of projects of similar size and scope. All Proposers are to execute the Non-Collusion/Fraud Certification and the Tax Certification Attestation which are part of the RFP Documents. Failure to submit these completed forms will not allow the Town of Duxbury to consider your proposal. The Town of Duxbury reserves the right to reject any proposal which, in its judgment, fails to meet the requirements of this IFB or which is incomplete, conditional, or obscure, or which contains additions or irregularities, or in which errors occur in addition to the foregoing. The Town of Duxbury also reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it deems such rejection(s) to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town of Duxbury also reserves the right to waive minor discrepancies, to permit a Proposer to clarify discrepancies, and/or to conduct discussions with all qualified Proposers in any manner necessary to serve the best interests of the Town. Any fees or other expenses of the Proposers associated with this IFB process are solely the responsibility of the Proposers. The Town of Duxbury (the "Town") is a community of approximately 16,000 residents. The Town is located in Plymouth County and is approximately thirty-five (35) miles south of the City of Boston. The Town is bordered by Cape Cod Bay to the east, Duxbury Bay, Kingston Bay and Plymouth to the southeast, Kingston to the southwest, Pembroke to the west and northwest, and Marshfield to the north.
